Lately I've been wondering about the demographics of Christians. In an age when Oral Roberts and David Koresh are in the headlines, the question "What exactly is a Christian?" seems blurred. Add to that the growing Pentecostal and Fundamentalist movements and it becomes increasingly difficult to determine where Christians stand on some issues. To address this issue, I've put together a little survey. The danger of doing this is that people will suspect that this information will be used in some manner to attack Christians. I don't work for anyone, and this survey will not be used for any purpose other than to collect data. Entries will be collected until January 1, at which point they will be tallied in an anonymous manner and sent via email to all the participants, as well as published on the web. I realize that the results will be skewed because most of the users of the Internet are males between the ages of 20 and 25. The first few questions will be used to "calibrate" the results a bit. Later questions will ask your viewpoint on some key issues within Christianity and the world today. For some of the questions, I've provided a set of answers, but note that you may elaborate upon you answer if you wish. If you prefer (and know how), you may submit the answers via anonymous e-mail. However, please do not send multiple entries. I really hope that this survey does not embarrass or insult, and am genuinely interested in the replies of people who do not consider themselves the "model Christian". Thanks in advance to all who participate. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1) What is your sex? 2) What is your occupation? 3) How old are you? 4) To what denomination, if any, do you subscribe? 5) How often do you attend church? 6) Have you had a personal experience with God? 7) Are you active in church activities such as the choir, Sunday school, youth groups, etc.? 8) Do you attend Bible studies or do daily devotions? 9) Do you pray before meals at home? at restaurants? 10) Do you drink alcohol? swear? 11) Do you consider the Bible to be literally inerrant?
