Category Access 0.6.1 Released
I’ve released a new version of the Category Access Wordpress 2 plugin. This plugin allows the blog maintainer to restrict access to posts belonging to particular categories on a user-by-user basis.
New changes:
- Fixed a bug where categories with special characters like “‘” would incorrectly be protected.
- Fixed long-standing pagination of posts bugs.
- Removed next_post functions, since this should be fixed in Wordpress now.
Download it on my code page.

Like the plugin. Seems to work well.
There is one thing I can’t seem to get working. My static pages do not show unless I am logged in.
As far as I can tell there is no way to associate a category with a page, yet it appears the plug in is filtering out the static pages.

I’ll check it out when I get a chance. I seem to recall this problem happening before–I thought I fixed it.

What a great plug-in… just what I have been looking for. I use WordPress as a communication vehicle for the committee chair-person (author) and members at my local church. I have set up each category to “feel” like a seperate blog… the only issue I had was how to prevent committee A from seeing committee B activity.
Your plug-in allowed me to solve this problem.
THANKS

Keith, I fixed the bug in version 0.7.0, which will be out soon.
Dennis, I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for dropping the note.
